On September 18, 2024, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province issued the Plan to implement the communication campaign to promote tourism in Hoa Binh province in the period of 2024-2025 to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of tourism, mobilize investment resources for tourism development, and gradually turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector of the province. Strengthen information and propaganda activities on the position and role of the tourism industry in promoting the development of other sectors and fields; contribute to the implementation of the goal of developing tourism and specific tourism products of localities with rich and diverse forms; enhance the application of modern technology in information and propaganda work on tourism.

Accordingly, the goal of the Plan is to turn Hoa Binh Lake National Tourist Area into the largest tourist center of Hoa Binh province, one of the 12 key tourist areas of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region with typical tourism products such as tourism to explore and experience the Muong ethnic culture associated with the Hoa Binh Lake ecosystem. Attract domestic and international travel agencies with the need to organize mountain tours to recognize the value of Hoa Binh's tourist destinations and cooperation opportunities. Increase the length of stay and spending of tourists when coming to Hoa Binh, build and promote the image of Hoa Binh on the basis of promoting the advantages of geographical and humanistic landscapes, promote investment in Hoa Binh to increase the choice of consumer services when coming to Hoa Binh. Increase the media presence of Hoa Binh in the press environment. Create at least two series of in-depth and positive news articles (reported for at least 5 days) each year about Hoa Binh in the press media environment.
Mai Chau Tourist Area, an attractive destination for tourists
The requirement of the Plan is that information about destinations, products, and tourism services in Hoa Binh province must be truthful, objective, clear, and complete. Proactively orient issues of public concern, especially important and sensitive issues of the locality; promptly respond to inaccurate information that negatively affects the image of Hoa Binh province.
Communication contents include: Communication on social networks and communication on mass media. In particular, the Department of Information and Communications will carry out image communication and tourism of Hoa Binh province to domestic and international tourists on four social networking platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube and Instagram (Create a blue tick for social networking accounts to affirm ownership, avoid being exploited, fake accounts. Build and produce communication content (text, images, videos) suitable for each stage; post on sections of social networking channels (Reels, Short videos, etc.). Run ads to increase interaction, seeding into tourism community groups and forums.
Muong ethnic culture in Hoa Binh is communicated to develop tourism
Media content on mass media will publish news, articles, photos, radio and television programs on the content: events, tourist images of Hoa Binh, famous and unique places and destinations of the province. The Department of Information and Communications signs a propaganda contract with central news agencies and newspapers according to the Plan to implement the Project on communication of images of Hoa Binh province in the period of 2022-2025. Hoa Binh Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station conduct propaganda on the press and television channels of the unit. Departments, branches, sectors and relevant agencies and units, People's Committees of districts and cities conduct propaganda on the grassroots information system and other forms of propaganda suitable to the locality.
The total estimated budget for the period 2024 - 2025 is 2,590,000,000 VND. Of which, in 2024: 480,000,000 VND. In 2025: 2,110,000,000 VND. The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province has assigned tasks to agencies, units and localities according to their functions, tasks and scope of responsibility to proactively and actively coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications to promptly provide accurate information to press agencies; ensure that press agencies have full access to information content serving communication, propaganda and promotion in all fields in the province. Regularly update and promptly post information on the direction and operation of departments, branches and localities; information on activities in fields under the responsibility of the branches and localities on the unit's electronic information page. The Provincial People's Committee has also assigned tasks to the provincial news and press agencies based on the annual budget, to implement the assigned tasks in this Plan, regularly innovate and improve the quality of communication work on events and tourist images of Hoa Binh.
