On the morning of December 21, 2023, at Vietnam Trade Union Hotel in Hanoi city, Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism organized a workshop to implement state management tasks regarding tourism in 2023. The workshop was chaired by the Deputy Director of Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, Mr. Pham Van Thuy. Attending the workshop were representatives from several Departments of Tourism, Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with Tourism Promotion Centers from provinces and cities, and tourism service businesses.

From April 8, 2023, to April 11, 2023, the Week of Northwest Tourism and Culture  took place at Ninh Kieu Park, Can Tho City, featuring various remarkable, appealing programs and activities. The Week of Northwest Tourism and Culture in Can Tho City is an event within the series of promotional and development activities of the Tourism Cooperation Group of 8 Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City in 2023.

On December 30, 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 3819/QD-BVHTTDL on the Science, Technology and Innovation Development Plan for the culture, sports and tourism sectors to 2030. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing for promulgation, replacing Decision No. 4227/QD-BVHTTDL dated November 29, 2013 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism approving the Science Development Strategy science and technology in culture, sport and tourism in the period of 2013-2020, with a vision to 2030.
